We have magnificent ranges of sample collections which means there is only one of each style from many of the top designers at a fraction of the usual price.

This doesn’t mean that the garments are all small sizes because many of the sample ranges we stock are made in large sizes so we cater for most ladies and because we buy the whole collections, we are able to offer incredible savings on the normal retail price.

We also stock cancelled and late or incomplete orders and an example of the sort of savings to be made are for instance occasion wear retailing at about £700 for £200, but there is something for all budgets and we regularly clear our stocks to make way for new garments, at around £50 a wedding outfit.

We have the biggest and best collections of designer evening wear that we know of, particularly in our Taunton flagship store to which a whole floor is dedicated. All the other Branches however, hold a good selection.

There are many household designer labels stocked, and we agree with our suppliers not to advertise the brand names for obvious reasons, so you do need to keep calling in, as the stock changes on a weekly basis. Our continuous search for top quality stock takes us to Germany, Italy and France looking for manufacturers who will supply us at our price.

We appreciate that a fantastic customer service is where independent shops can really score against the multiples, and with that in mind, we have a delivery service run by our male family members which delivers special requests on a route around all our shops to ensure our clients get the best service we can offer. So, always ask a member of staff to make a note of anything you are looking for in our Enquiries Book and they will do their utmost to obtain it for you.

We are constantly running in-store promotions to keep the stock fresh and different and some items may be put on this website from time to time, but because they are hopefully fast-moving, they are usually gone before we get a chance!

We have now designed our first range of exclusive handbags made locally here in the West Country, some using vintage leather, in the most amazing colour combinations and these will be posted on the website for online purchase, as well as in our shops. This gives us the flexibility to manufacture a particular design in the colours you choose so you are safe in the knowledge that your handbag is unique. As we design inhouse, and manufacture locally we are able to offer our bags at very competitive prices.

Retail Therapy now employs around 30 staff and you will know many of them by name. Some of our ladies have been with us for 20 years, from the time when we staged Shows and Events for the National Trust and exhibited at Badminton, Cheltenham and about 80 County Shows each year. Thankfully, those days are over now-they were great fun when we were much younger but we now leave it to the young things who enjoy the nomadic lifestyle - shops are far more civilised and less strenuous!

When you come in to one of our branches, you are assured of one to one personal service if you so wish, but equally the staff will leave you alone to browse if that is your preference-there are no pushy salespeople in this firm-just friendly and helpful ladies who have a passion for clothes.

If for instance, you have a wedding outfit already, do bring it in and the girls will help you accessorise with bag, hat and shoes. You can put on your outfit and ensure that you get the right look from the outset.

If you really are struggling to decide what to wear, equally, they will help you with as many outfits as you wish to try, with absolutely no obligation, and they will pin you up and organise alterations direct with a recommended seamstress. This is a non-profit making alteration service.
